DiGi iNVaDeRS this release September 24, 2005 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ for Windows 95/98/XP DiGi iNVaDeRS is a remake/semi-clone of an old Casio calculator that I had when I was in school. I have been searching everywhere to get a copy of the game to play on my PC, but all I found was one that was written in 1999, but it had not been updated since then and it looked pretty bad. I also found one which was written for DOS, which was actually pretty good, except that it would not run on Windows XP. Anyway, as you know already, I decided to make my own version. It's not an exact copy of the original as the last time I played the real game would have been 15-16 years ago. I have made up my own method to work out the scoring and the "n" invader is always worth 150 points, and when you have finished the last level the game will go back to level 1 and continue from there. --------------------------------- --------------------------------- PLEASE NOTE: in order to play this game on your PC you are required to have "CNCS32.dll" in your Windows/System folder. I have included this file in the "digi-inv.zip" along with the program files and this TXT file. --------------------------------- --------------------------------- The controls you will need to know are: Keyboard || Mouse / Controls ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [ O ] Turn On / Off Click the Black Switch (above the Blue button) [ S ] Start the Game Click on the Blue button [ . ] (num pad) Change Base / Aim Change Base number to match enemy numbers [ + ] (num pad) Fire / Shoot Destroy invading numbers [ P ] Pause / Continue Pause eg. to play a game 1st: Click on the calculator's Black switch to turn it on (on the keyboard press the letter "O") 2nd: Click on the calculators Blue button to start the game (on the keyboard press the letter "S") 3rd: Use keyboard keys "." to change base value and "+" to fire (these are the keys that can be found on the numerical keypad located on the right of a standard keyboard) 4th: Add the invading numbers up to 10, 20, 30, ... and so on to get a bonus "n" invader which is worth 150 points when you hit it 5th: During gameplay you can press "P" to Pause, or "O" to Turn Off the game 6th: Just have fun! :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have not had this tested on any other PC's but my own, so I don't know if there are any problems on ANY other machine, but hopefully there are none (well, that I don't know about already.) I used my good old copy of Multimedia Fusion Express (Click & Create to you guys in the US) to make this game. The game should work on most of the Windows operating systems (well at least Windows 95/98/XP) but as Multimedia Fusion Express is an older program and is no longer supported by clickteam there may be bugs here and there. If you like the game and would like to know how to make your own then you should visit ClickTeam's (the creators) website to check out the (newer 2D/3D) game making software they have now: http://www.clickteam.com OK. I hope you enjoy playing this game, and if you downloaded it to relive the old times, playing it on the schoolbus or in the classroom when it was a particularly boring school day, then I hope it brings you as many a good memory as it did me. ©2005 T. Adamson (TMB Software) http://www.tmbsoft.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Fueled by FUSION KNOWN ISSUES - Sometimes near the end of a level the game will start spitting out the same number over and over, just keep shooting the number until you've cleared the screen and then the level will end.
